Frequently asked questions.

It is natural to have questions when it comes to life insurance. That is where we come in. Here are a few of the questions we hear most often, along with the answers to guide you with confidence.

How much life insurance do I need?

Your coverage depends on factors such as age, debt, monthly expenses, and family size. A good rule of thumb is to aim for 10–15 times your annual income.  Schedule a time to speak with us for personalized quotes.

How does your client-based approach work?

Our process is designed to be simple, transparent, and supportive, guiding you every step of the way:

  • Personal consultation – We begin by assessing your financial goals, needs, and priorities.
  • Shopping for solutions – With access to top-rated carriers, we compare options to find the best fit for your lifestyle and budget.
  • Review & selection – We meet again to review the options together, and you will choose the plan that feels right for you.
  • Application guidance – Once selected, we walk you through the application process step by step.
  • Policy issuance – After approval, your policy is purchased and officially in place.
  • Discovery call – Next up, a quick 10-minute chat with our team will help uncover additional financial opportunities, from debt protection to retirement account rollovers and beyond.
  • Ongoing support – As a courtesy, we check in annually (or more often if you prefer) to reassess your needs. You are never on your own—if questions arise, we are just a call away and always respond within 24 hours.

Is life insurance expensive?

Not necessarily! Life insurance can be surprisingly affordable. For example, a healthy 30-year-old male could get a 10-year term policy with $250,000 coverage for under $15/month. We shop the market for you, finding the best rates and keeping everything clear and upfront.

Can I get life insurance without a health exam?

Yes! Several of our carriers under $100,000 only require an application. Some instant-issue policies for ages 18–55 allow coverage up to $500,000 without a paramedical exam.

Why buy life insurance if I am young and healthy?

Even if no one depends on your income, a policy covers debts and funeral costs. Plus, younger, healthier applicants enjoy lower rates and can lock in affordable coverage for the future.

I have life insurance through work. Is that enough?

Employer life insurance is helpful, but it often is not enough — and it may not follow you when you leave. A personal policy gives lasting peace of mind.

I do not work outside the home. Do I still need life insurance?

Absolutely. Stay-at-home parents provide immense financial value by managing childcare, meals, and household responsibilities. Life insurance helps cover these costs if you are no longer there.

What is the difference between term and permanent life insurance?

Term covers you for a set period, often at a lower cost, while permanent insurance lasts your whole life and builds cash value you can borrow against.

Can I get life insurance with risky hobbies?

Yes! Activities like rock climbing or skydiving may increase your premiums, but you can still get coverage. We may ask a few questions about your hobby first.

Can I lie on my application to get a lower rate?

Never. Always answer truthfully. Misrepresenting information can lead to denied claims or canceled coverage.

Can crowdfunding cover my final expenses?

GoFundMe and similar sites can be hit or miss — and rarely cover everything. Life insurance gives your family guaranteed support for final expenses and more.

What is a life insurance beneficiary? How do I choose?

A beneficiary is the person or entity who receives your policy’s payout. This can include family, friends, charities, or organizations. Consider who will use the benefit and how. Spouses or trusted family members are common choices, while grown children or charities are also options.

I do not have kids. Do I need life insurance?

Yes! Life insurance can cover funeral costs, debts, or leave a financial legacy, making it valuable for anyone regardless of parental status.
